A female is in stable condition after she was assaulted and robbed in the West End late Tuesday night.

At about 11:30 p.m., the woman was in the area of St. Matthews and Ellice avenues when she was beaten and robbed. She made her way to the 500 block of Lipton Street where she called police and medical assistance, a police spokeswoman said.
