Teen arrested after armed robbery

A 16-year-old teen is in police custody and is facing charges of armed robbery after a cigarette heist last night.

A youth robbed a convenience store in the 400 block of Selkirk Avenue getting away with cigarettes, police said today.

Officers were called to the scene about 10:15 p.m.  and they arrested a suspect 15 minutes later not far from the store. Police did not say what kind of weapon the youth may have used. No one was injured.
