Teen assaulted in North End home invasion

WINNIPEG - A 17-year-old youth was assaulted in his residence during a home invasion on Thursday afternoon.

Two men wearing disguises confronted the youth at his North End home around 3 p.m. Thursday, and one of them assaulted the boy in the upper body, Winnipeg police said today.

The pair restrained the youth inside the home and left with electronics and jewellery, police said.

The youth was able to contact a neighbour, who called police.

Police are continuing to investigate. Anyone with information is asked to call police investigators at 986-2848 or CrimeStoppers at 786-TIPS (8477).
