Teen in hospital after stabbing

WINNIPEG - A 15-year-old boy was taken to hospital early this morning after another teen stabbed him.

Winnipeg police said the incident occurred at 2 a.m. in the area of Mapleglen Avenue and McPhilips Street. A group of males confronted the 15-year-old and demanded money.

One teen stabbed the boy in the upper body and the group fled the area.

The 15-year-old was taken to hospital in unstable condition and was later upgraded to stable condition.

Police are looking for a boy age 17 or 18 who is aboriginal in appearance, with short hair, a thin build, a moustache and deep voice. He was wearing dark clothing.
