Temperatures not too scary for last week of October

There should be a minimum of trick-or-treaters having to cover up their costumes with winter jackets this Halloween.

That’s because Oct. 31 is going be smack-dab on the average temperature for this time of year, 4C, according to Environment Canada.

The week doesn’t start off super promising – flurries are expected this morning into this afternoon with a high of 3 C and Tuesday has a 30 per cent chance of showers with a forecast high of 5 C – but things should turn around in time for one of the greatest – and scariest - nights of the year for kids.

Environment Canada is calling for a mix of sun and cloud on Wednesday with a high of 4 C.

Things will cool off slightly on Thursday to 2 C under sunny skies and 1 C on Friday.

Sunday could represent your last chance to bag those piles of leaves still sitting on your front yard as the mercury is expected to hit 6 C under a mix of sun and cloud.
