Tenant hospitalized after Broadway fire
A man was taken to hospital after a fire broke out in his Broadway apartment early this morning.
Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service said a suite in a three-storey apartment block in the 300 block of Broadway caught fire around 2:11 a.m.
The tenant was taken to hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation and is currently in stable condition.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but the blaze caused $15,000 of damage to the suite's structure and $5,000 to its contents.
No other injuries were reported.
