Things back to normal at Winnipeg airport following Air Canada strike

Students in Winnipeg waylaid by Air Canada labour unrest may make their trips after all.

The Winnipeg Airport Authority website showed no flight cancellations just before 11 a.m. Saturday morning.

Audrey Harder, the mother of a 17-year-old Steinbach Regional student headed to Europe, said her son had lost a day and a half due to flight delays but was due to fly out midday Saturday. Her son Ryan Harder was one of dozens of students from different Manitoba schools who had overseas trips delayed because students couldn’t make it to Toronto, where they were connecting with other flights.

"They should’ve been there today," said Harder.
