Third person arrested in double shooting that left man dead

A third man has been arrested in connection with a double shooting on Maryland Street that left one man dead last month.

Clinton Jordan McKenzie, 20, was arrested today at about 12:55 a.m., after being located by the Tactical Support Team and Division 13 officers.

McKenzie has been charged with second-degree murder and attempted murder. He has been detained in custody.

Police were called to the 600 block of Maryland Street on Sept. 29, at about 12:20 a.m., after getting reports of shots being fired.

A wounded man was found on Maryland Street while another injured man was found a block away on McGee Street.

Jordan Dennis Houle, 24, of Winnipeg, died from his injuries. A 19-year-old man was taken to hospital in serious condition and was later upgraded to stable condition.

Michael Frank Okemow, 24, and Edward Arthur Coutu, 27, were arrested earlier this month and charged with second-degree murder and attempted murder.
