This week in Winnipeg: wet, cold and slight chance of flurries

  • Print

No sense in sugarcoating it: the weather over the next couple days is going to be miserable.

Continuing from Monday’s cool and wet conditions, Environment Canada is calling for showers beginning this morning and a high of only 7 C today. The wind will blow from the northwest 40 km/h gusting to 60 km/h at times.

Tonight, the rain and wind should taper off, leaving us with a 30 per cent chance of showers or flurries. The low will be around the freezing mark.

The slight possibility of rain/flurries is expected to stay over the Winnipeg area into Wednesday morning and early afternoon, before things start to clear in the evening. Wednesday’s high is expected to be 7 C; the low could drop all the way down to -3 C.

The normal high for this time of year is 19 C.

Sunny skies and warmer temperatures are in the forecast for later in the week.
