Thompson murder suspects sought

  • Print

Thompson RCMP are on the hunt for two men charged with slaying Charles Brightnose, 25, last month.

Brightnose was assaulted outside a Thompson residence Nov. 29 at about 5:45 a.m. He died later at Winnipeg’s Health Sciences Centre, and an autopsy concluded he was the victim of a homicide.

Kenneth Munroe, 25, of Thompson, was charged with second-degree murder and four counts of breach of probation, but Canada-wide warrants have been issued for Cassidy Eagle, 21, and Owen Mcdonald, 20, who have also been charged with second-degree murder and remain at large.

Both men are considered armed and dangerous, police warn, and should not be approached.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to call the Thompson RCMP detachment at 204-677-6911 or Manitoba Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Owen Phillip Mcdonald (also known as O-dog) is 5-9 and 172 pounds, with brown hair, brown eyes and a tattoo of "Lakeishia" on his chest.

Cassidy Elston Eagle (also known as KC or Cassidy Mazawasicuna) is 6-0 and 232 pounds, with brown hair, brown eyes and a tattoo of "Blaze" on his left arm.
