Three charged after string of robberies

A woman alleged to have been involved in at least six robberies in an 18-hour period Sunday and Monday is now in custody.

Winnipeg police said the crime spree began 7:30 a.m. Sunday in the 100 block of Keewatin Street, where a woman armed with a knife robbed a convenience store.

Two other stores were hit in the same area over the next hour by a woman armed with a knife.

Later Sunday night, two women, one of them armed with a knife, robbed stores in the 3600 block of Portage and in the 500 block of Pembina Highway.

The spree ended early Monday morning when two women, one of whom was armed with a knife, robbed a business in the 1300 block of McPhillips and fled in a car driven by a man. However, several police units converged on the area and the suspect vehicle was stopped and three suspects taken into custody without incident.

Rebecca Robson, 32, is facing seven counts of robbery and two counts of wearing a disguise.

Gertrude Jo-Ann Glenday, 47, is facing four charges of robbery.

Kazim Robinson, 59, is facing two counts of robbery.

All three individuals remain in custody.
