Three garage fires in city in less than two days

Arson investigators are looking into a garage fire just before 9 p.m. Thursday in the 400 block of Home Street, the third such fire in less than two days.

No injuries were reported and no damage estimate was available.

Fire heavily damaged a garage behind a home in 300 block of Toronto Street early Thursday and a fire Wednesday about 3:45 a.m. in West Broadway damaged a garage in the 100 block of Furby Street. The police helicopter was called out while officers on the ground also searched the area.

The Furby garage fire was one of three overnight blazes on Wednesday -- a fence was set on fire in the 100 block of Sherbrook Street, and a shed went up in flames in the 900 block of McMillan Avenue.
