To shine or not to shine, that is today's weather question

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?

Shakespeare didn't likely write his love poem about today's forecast, which calls for a risk of thunderstorms.

Environment Canada said there will be a high of 20 C today, but there's a 40 per cent chance of rain this afternoon.

It's anticipated to clear by tonight (which is perhaps why his sonnet refers to "nature's changing course"), with a low of 9 C.

And tomorrow - oh, splendid Saturday - calls for sunny skies with a high of 26 C.

By Sunday, there will be a high of 24 C and a mix of sun and cloud with a 30 per cent chance of rain.

Sunny weather is also called for from Monday to Thursday of next week, with a high of 25 C Monday and a high of 26 C Tuesday.

By Wednesday, the high is forecast to be 29 C.

Shakespeare obviously knew "thy eternal summer shall not fade." At least, not with what's on the horizon for next week.

Have a poetic Friday!
