Storms hammer southern Manitoba

Tornado warnings have ended for all parts of Manitoba, and the severe thunderstorm warning was lifted for the city of Winnipeg.

Tennis-ball-sized hail was reported in some areas south of Winnipeg. Strong winds and heavy rains battered many communities as two clusters of storms moved through the province Saturday night.

St. James and Charleswood were hit hard by large hailstones, and it will take daylight to show how widespread the damage was in the city and south to the U.S. border.
