But it was Robertson’s 14-0 shellacking of Lori Forbes of The Pas that was perhaps the most notable result of the morning. The former three-time Manitoba women's champion posted a five-ender on Forbes in the first end and then authored consecutive steals of two, one, five and one to go up by two touchdowns at the fifth end break and prompt Forbes to shake hands.

The Scotties continues on the 12:15 p,m, draw as the other eight-team pool here gets their opening games. Second seed Cathy Overton-Clapham plays Miami’s Lisa DeRiviere, third seed Chelsea Carey plays Brandon’s Liza Park, fifth seed Janet Harvey plays East St. Paul’s Kim Link and seventh seed Michelle Montford plays Dauphin’s Lisa Menard.
