McPhillips open in both directions after collision clean up

  • Print

McPhillips Street is now open in both directions after a damaged dump truck and its box were moved off the road around 11 a.m.

The northbound City of Winnipeg truck hit the underpass this morning around 8 a.m., damaging the rail bridge and causing traffic snarls. The driver received minor injuries.

The box was ripped off the vehicle and left upright on the street.

Police had McPhillips closed in both directions from Jarvis to Henry avenues, forcing motorists to find other routes.

Police continue to investigate the crash.
