Two charged after meth seized

A man and woman were arrested Sunday around 9:30 p.m. after a short foot chase by police. Police also seized drugs, prohibited items and cash at a residence in the 700 block of Warsaw Avenue.

Over 47 grams of methamphetamine, with an estimated street value over $14,000, a stun gun and a ballistic vest were removed from the residence when a search warrant was executed.

Jeanette Wawrzyniak, 31, and Dale Hiebert, 30, were charged with numerous weapon and drug-related offences and remain in custody.
