Oakbank RCMP have charged two men after a break-in at a golf and country club in the RM of Springfield.

RCMP said $14,000 worth of high-end golf clubs, golf bags and golf clothing were stolen on Thursday.

On Friday, investigating officers searched a residence in the 500 block of Windsor Avenue in Winnipeg where they seized allegedly stolen items including golf bags, golf clubs and golf clothing.

Evidence gathered during this investigation resulted in additional charges on a separate break-in at the same golf course April 14, RCMP said.

Three people were arrested and detained at the Oakbank RCMP detachment.

Tyrone James Romaniuk, 37, of Winnipeg, has been charged with two counts of break, enter and theft over $5,000 and two counts of possession of stolen property obtained by crime.

Joseph Peter Romaniuk, 46, of no fixed address in Winnipeg, is charged with break, enter and theft over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime and breach of probation.

Both men are in custody pending a court appearance Tuesday in Winnipeg.

The third individual arrested was released without charges.

Several RCMP units as well as the Winnipeg Police Service and the Springfield Police Service took part in the investigation.

Oakbank/Beausejour RCMP continue to investigate.
