Two city men face charges after breakins

Two men are charged with numerous offences related to a pair of breakins.

On Sept. 17, 2012, at approximately 9:35 p.m., two male suspects concealed their identity and forced their way into an electronic business located in the 800 block of St. James Street. While inside, the suspects confronted staff with a handgun. Several of the staff ran for safety and the suspects eventually left the business empty-handed. No one was injured.

During the morning of Oct. 22, 2012, two male suspects armed with a handgun broke into a residence located in the 100 block of Bourkevale Drive. The suspects proceeded to remove jewelry, liquor, electronics and a shotgun from the home.

Both men were arrested Thursday.

Michael Bealieu and Dominic Bruno, both 22, of Winnipeg, have been charged with numerous firearms-related offences, including robbery with intent and break, enter a dwelling house.

Both were detained at the Winnipeg Remand Centre.
