Two injured in Elgin Avenue apartment fire

Two people were injured in a fire late last night in an Elgin Avenue apartment block.

A fire department spokeswoman said this morning the fire broke out about 11:15 p.m. Thursday in Suite 802, 515 Elgin Ave.

She said two people were injured, but that no further information was available about the victims or the nature of their injuries.

The fire caused an estimated $55,000 damage to the building, and about $10,000 damage to the contents of the suite. The cause is under investigation.
