Two men shot on Ross Avenue

WINNIPEG--Two men were shot just after 3 a.m. today in the 500 block of Ross Avenue, police report.
A 22-year-old man was taken to hospital in critical condition with gunshot wounds to his upper body. A 23-year-old acquaintance was treated in hospital for non-life threatening wounds.
Police said two groups of two males became involved in a verbal dispute that ended with the shooting.
No arrests has been made.
The shooting is not believed to be connected to a shooting  about 12 hours earlier on Redwood Avenue, police said.
On Saturday afternoon, an 18-year-old male was shot several times outside a convenience store on Redwood Ave. The man remains in critical but stable condition in hospital.

Gee, the gun registry is really working. Only criminals and cops are allowed to have guns. Lets have a knife registry for all the stabbings too. Oh and baseball bat, crowbar and screwdriver registries too. Then only criminals will have them.

'sigh'. This isn't even news anymore. Just another north end shooting and more comments about stiffer laws. NEXT!

This is getting absolutely crazy. We need swifter an more appropriate "justice" that protects society.

These criminals just have no fear what so ever.
