Two men sought after armed robbery on Portage Avenue

Two armed men robbed a business in the 1700 block of Portage Avenue Thursday night.

Police responded to the business around 7 p.m. Thursday after getting a report that a robbery was happening.

Once the police arrived they found out that two men, both armed and concealing their identities, entered the store, demanded and received an undisclosed amount of cash and then left.

A 28-year-old man was working alone in the store when the robbery took place. He was not injured.

Both suspects are described as aboriginal in appearance, approximately 5’9’ and with a medium build.

Police are investigating and asking anyone with information to call 204-986-6219 or CrimeStoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477)
