Two stabbed at teen house party

Two teens were taken to hospital following an early morning stabbing in Charleswood.

Winnipeg police said the incident occurred around 1:45 a.m. in the 1200 block of Liberty Street, off Wilkes Avenue. Police said a dispute arose at a house party and two teenage boys - a 15 year-old, and an 18-year-old - were stabbed.

The 15-year-old boy was taken to hospital in critical condition but has since been ungraded to stable. The 18-year-old victim was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Winnipeg Police Service's canine unit located a suspect in the 1600 block of Liberty Street around 2 a.m. Police have a 17-year-old boy in custody who is facing charges of aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.
