Two teens rob woman waiting for a bus downtown
A woman, 38, waiting in a bus shelter was robbed by two males early today in downtown Winnipeg.
The woman was waiting for a bus at 12:20 a.m. when she was confronted by two teenagers at Portage Avenue and Vaughan Street. The pair grabbed the woman's purse after indicating they were armed.
The woman was not injured and the robbers fled on foot.
The robbers took a large brown purse containing identification, credit cards and an undisclosed amount of cash.
The robbers are described as:
- Male, aboriginal in appearance, 16-17 years of age, 5’9" tall, medium build with a black mark on his left cheek near his nose.
- Male, Aboriginal in appearance, 16-17 years of age, 5’4" tall and heavy build.
The investigation is continuing by members of the Division 11 Crime Unit. Anyone with information regarding the incident, suspects or the stolen property is asked to contact investigators at 204 986-6668 or Crime Stoppers at 204 786-TIPS (8477).
