Two men accused of November homicide on Balmoral

City police have arrested two men in connection to the homicide of a man in a Balmoral Street rooming house in early November.

Kworo Ojulu, 26, and Ojullo Agwa, 42, are each charged with first-degree murder in connection to the November 8 slaying of 39-year-old Phillip Mayur.

Homicide detectives arrested each man separately Thursday morning at addresses on Kennedy Street and Riverton Avenue, police said.

While no motive for the alleged killing has surfaced, a police source said it was over a relationship the victim had with a woman.

Police are expected to release more details on the arrests today. Both men accused are in custody and made their first court appearances this morning.

The accused are considered innocent until proven guilty.
