U of M homecoming begins today

Caution: middle-aged graduates – and older – from the University of Manitoba will be reliving their youth for the next four days.

Planned activities include campus tours, a gala concert, a celebration of our Indigenous community, all culminating with the Bison football game on Saturday afternoon.

There will be complimentary workouts in the gyms at both campuses for alumni, and luncheons in most faculties.

More than 10,000 alumni and friends are expected to participate in some way, including dozens of class reunions dating back to 1952 and representing faculties and schools such as Medicine, Dental Hygiene, Medical Rehabilitation, Law, Architecture and Engineering.

The Homecoming Alumni Dinner will be held Saturday at 6 p.m. on the second floor of University Centre. The distinguished alumni award recipient this year is Gerry Price, president and CEO of E.H. Price Limited.
