The University of Winnipeg Faculty Association is conducting a strike vote which wraps up at 5 p.m. today.

The two sides are bogged down over money.

Provincial mediator Arne Peltz will meet with the two sides Thursday, with additional sessions set for Friday and Saturday.

Neither side is talking publicly about money.

The faculty association is using the University of Manitoba settlement as a model -- 7.1 per cent compounded over three years -- while U of W says that similar universities across Canada are settling for one to two per cent a year.
