Unexpected autumn heat wave kicking in

Put away the parka and break out the sunscreen.

It’s going to be a tremendous day in southern Manitoba today. For Winnipeg and the surrounding area, Environment Canada is calling for a mix of sun and cloud with a daytime high of 8 C. The wind will blow from the west at around 30 km/m.

The low this evening is -1 C with a slight chance of some flurry activity overnight.

The normal high/low temperature for this time of year is -1 C and -9 C.

For Thursday, Environment Canada is calling for a 40 per cent chance of flurries and a high of 1 C. Things are expected to warm up again Friday, with sunny skies and a high of 6 C.
