Just a little patience, better weather on horizon

It’s a pushback day in terms of weather.

Environment Canada is still calling for some pleasant fall weather ahead, but its forecast this frosty morning shows that a little more patience is required.

The unsettled weather will continue through today, with increasing clouds and a few showers with a high of 5 C.

Thursday now will also bring a mixed bag, still with a 30 per cent chance of showers or flurries and a high of 6 C.

By Friday, Environment Canada says the happier stuff is on the way, with a mix of sun and cloud and a high of 10 C.

From there, matters improve further into the weekend with a pleasant Saturday and a high of 16 C in the forecast. High temperatures right through the forecast period to next Tuesday are projected to exceed the normal maximum of 12 C.

As for the last few days, if you’re wondering about why things seem so wet, Monday (11.5 millimetres) and Tuesday (2.0) were the first consecutive days with at least one millimetre of measurable precipitation since early August.
