Authorities are examining an inner-city home that was badly damaged by fire this morning.
Firefighters received a call at 4:15 a.m. for a fire at a vacant, two-storey home at the corner of Spence Street and Cumberland Avenue.
Winnipeg firefighters said there was damage to the basement and main floor, with smoke and water damage throughout the home.
The cause is under investigation.
Damage to the building is estimated at $100,000 with another $20,000 damage to the contents.
