WRHA needs volunteers for H1N1 clinics

WINNIPEG — Volunteers are needed to help staff the H1N1 vaccination clinics.

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority issued a plea for volunteers this morning to do a variety of jobs, including assisting with registration and completion of consent forms, assist people through the clinic process, and observing people for symptoms after they've received their shots.

Volunteer shifts are Monday to Thursday, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., 12:30 to 5 p.m., and 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.; and Fridays, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.

The clinics are scheduled to run until Dec. 4. More information is available from the WRHA volunteer services, 787-5078 or appy on-line www.wrha.mb.ca

The WRHA said 13,233 people were vaccinated Tuesday, bringing the two-day total to 24,597.
