Wanted man arrested after pursuit

Winnipeg police eventually got their man early this morning.

At approximately 1:35 a.m., police arrived at a residence in the 300 block of Bowman Avenue after receiving a tip a wanted man had just fled the home.

The canine unit was called in, and with the help of patrol members and Air1 police helicopter, the male suspect was pursued south down Brazier Street near Poplar Avenue. He continued west down Poplar towards Henderson Highway.

Following a 30-minute chase, Andrew Lowe, 24, was apprehended in the area of Henderson Highway and Mighton Avenue. He was detained at the Provincial Remand Centre.
