Wanted man arrested in Winnipeg
A 19-year-old man wanted in connection with assaults at Red Sucker Lake in late March was arrested in Winnipeg Saturday, RCMP said today.
Police had been on the lookout for Kyle John Loonfoot, of Island Lake, since the assaults in the northern community on March 28.
Loonfoot was wanted in connection with two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes. He was also wanted for three counts of failing to comply with a recognizance relating to a number of past charges, police said.
He is in custody, and will appear today in a Winnipeg court.
