Warm today, but chilly tonight

  • Print

Today won’t be as warm as it was yesterday but it won’t be as bad as tonight.

Environment Canada is calling for a mix of sun and cloud and a high of -8 C today. The wind will blow from the north 20 km/h through the afternoon. Don’t go light on the jacket as it will be rather chilly tonight, with a low of -23 C (wind chill in the -30 range) expected.

Yesterday’s daytime high at Richardson International Airport hit 3.2 C; a balmy 6 C was recorded at The Forks.

For Wednesday, look for a mix of sun and cloud, a 30 km/h breeze coming from the south and a high of -5 C during the day.

The temperature should creep up above the freezing mark for Thursday (a high of 2 C is forecast), before things cool off for Friday and Saturday once again. Saturday’s high is only expected to reach -15 C.
