Southern Manitoba enjoys tropical island-like weather

WINNIPEG -- Cue the Calypso music!

A warm, breezy day will make it feel almost tropical in southern Manitoba. According to Environment Canada, the mercury could reach 32 C with winds gusting 40 km/h to 60 km/h later this morning.

This evening, clouds roll in and there's a 30 per cent chance of showers.

The weekend weather features a mix of sun and clouds, with daytime temperatures in the mid to high 20s.
