Website for low-income renters opens today

The recently-formed Winnipeg Rental Network is to launch a new website today that aims to make it easier for people to find affordable rental housing.
The website - www.winnipegrentnet.ca - provides a searchable database of vacancies for affordable rental housing. The site will also be a one-stop-shop for agencies that provide supports to low income individuals, homeless individuals, or people at-risk of becoming homeless.  More than 50 city organizations have participated in the creation of the Winnipeg Rental Network. Funding was provided through the federal government  to the North End Community Renewal Corporation to oversee and act as the host of the Winnipeg Rental Network’s web-based initiative.
