Frost warning issued for parts of southern Manitoba

It may be June but Mother Nature refuses to listen.

Environment Canada has issued a Sunday morning frost warning for the RM of Bifrost including the communities of Arborg, Riverton, Hnausa and Hecla.

The frost is courtesy of cool temperatures, light winds, dry air and clear skies overnight.

Environment Canada says the rest of southern Manitoba should stay above the freezing mark Sunday morning but there is still the risk of frost.

Sunday's forecast for Winnipeg calls for a high of 16C but with a wakeup chill of only 3C. Skies will be sunny.

For Monday, expect a high of 18C with a low of 7C under clear skies.

You might want to mow your lawn before Tuesday as rain is forecast to return.
