West End fire causes $28K damage, arson unit investigating
Arson investigators are trying to determine the cause of a garage fire in the West End overnight.
Firefighters were called to 816 St. Matthews Ave. at about 1 a.m. Saturday to battle the blaze.
The fire caused about $28,000 in damages, including damage to a vehicle and a nearby shed.
There were no injuries.
Garage fires have become a chronic problem in Winnipeg.
