David Wilcox will perform at the second annual Winnipeg BBQ & Blues Festival.

The mainstage concert lineup for the second annual Winnipeg BBQ & Blues Festival will include headliners David Wilcox, Wide Mouth Mason, Ana Popovic, Golden State Lone Star Revue and Monkeyjunk, organizers said today.

A highlight of the festival, set for Red River Exhibition Park Aug. 16 to 18, is the Pit Masters barbeque competition, for which the winner receives $10,000 cash.

Others festival events include a turnout of big rigs at the sixth annual House of Chrome Show and Shine, as well as the Firefighter’s Five Alarm Cookoff and Granny’s Turkey Chili Throwdown.

Early bird VIP ticket packages, costing $39.50, go on sale May 10 at 10 a.m. at all Ticketmaster locations.

Once the 1,200 packages are gone, regular weekend passes and day passes will be made available. For more information, see winnipegbbqandblues.ca.
