Winnipeg Harvest wants your old blue boxes

Winnipeg Harvestplans to use the boxes for gardening, food collection, hampers and storage.

Winnipeggers can donate their unwanted blue boxes in support of Winnipeg Harvest this month.

City of Winnipeg officials said residents can drop-off their old recycle bins between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to Winnipeg Harvest at 1085 Winnipeg Ave. on Nov. 10, to 1539 Waverley Street on Nov. 17 and at the parking lot opposite 849 Ravelston Avenue on Nov. 24.

Harvest plans to use the blue boxes for a gardening program, food collection, delivery of emergency food hampers and storage in their warehouse.
