A 42-year-old Winnipeg man was killed in a motorcycle accident Saturday evening on Interstate 29 in North Dakota.
Mike Roberge, also known to friends as Squirrel, was driving southbound on his 2009 Yamaha motorcycle when he drifted off the road just south of the Grafton, N.D., exit shortly before 6 p.m., according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The driver entered the west ditch, tipped the motorcycle and was ejected from the bike.
Authorities pronounced the man dead at the scene and transported him by ambulance to Unity Medical Center in Grafton.
Grafton Fire and Rescue, Grafton Ambulance and the Walsh County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the accident.
The incident is still under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
