Well, it’s not quite surfing weather but considering the deep freeze Winnipeggers endured over the holidays, they’ll take it.
They’re waking up this morning to the mercury hitting 0 C – one degree higher than Monday’s forecast high – and most of the week is expected to be well above normal.
Winds are west at 30 km/h but will become light this afternoon under cloudy skies.
Tuesday should bring up to 2 cm of snow and winds south at 30 km/h and a high of -2 C.
You’ll need your sunglasses on Wednesday, when the sun is expected to appear and temperatures fall slightly to a high of -6 C but you’ll need windshield washer fluid on Thursday, when the high is forecast to hit the plus side of the ledger at 2 C along with a 40 per cent chance of showers.
Seasonal temperatures are expected to return at the end of the week with a high of -11 C on Friday and -14 C on Saturday.
