Winter blast to hit southwestern Manitoba

WINNIPEG - There's a winter storm watch in effect for southwestern Manitoba.

Environment Canada is forecasting 10 to 15 centimetres of snow in the Virden and Killarney areas this evening as a weather system flows westward across the Rockies.

Heavy snowfall is expected in southern Saskatchewan this afternoon and the storm is expected to cross into Manitoba this evening.
The watch is in effect for Minnedosa, Neepawa, Russell and Riding Mountain areas.

It’s going to be a snowing day Tuesday, with Environment Canada calling for snowfall all day, ending only late Tuesday night. High of -2 C and a low of -12 C.
