Woman, 42, wounded in overnight knife attack

A 42-year-old woman went to hospital Sunday night after she was assaulted.

Emergency officials responded to an apartment on the 100 block of Smith Street at about 11:30 p.m. and found the woman inside.

She was taken to hospital in unstable condition but later upgraded to stable, said police.

Police have not announced any arrests in connection with the stabbing.

Division 11 detectives are investigating.
