Woman, 61, charged in pot grow-op bust

A 61-year-old woman faces drug charges after police busted a marijuana grow op in West Kildonan.

Police seized 631 pot plants, estimated to be worth $706,720, along with four pounds of dry packaged weed, worth another $ 10,000, and grow operation equipment in the neighbourhood of $25,000.

The raid, under a drug search warrant, was carried out Friday at 10 a.m. at a house in the 100 block of Attache Drive, a quiet side street between Leila and Templeton avenues off McGregor Street.
