Woman charged with arson after North End fires
A 23-year-old woman is in custody and charged with multiple counts of arson following a series of early-morning fires in the North End on Monday and Tuesday.
Winnipeg Police said there were three fires Monday morning and two more Tuesday morning.
Minutes after the last fire Tuesday in the 200 block of Pritchard Avenue, patrol officers made a spot check of a person nearby on Manitoba Avenue, which led to her arrest.
Crystal Shannon Beardy, 23, has been charged with five counts of arson and possession of incendiary material.
