Woman dies, four injured, as van rolls near The Pas

A 27-year-old woman was killed, and four others injured, when a van rolled at 2:30 a.m. today about four miles south of The Pas on Highway 10, RCMP report.

The woman, from Opaskwayak Cree Nation, was rushed to hospital, but died from her injuries a short time later. She was identified as the driver of the vehicle.

Four people, identified as passengers of the van, were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor.

The investigation continues with the assistance of an RCMP Traffic Analyst.
