Woman ejected from van as it rolls in ditch on Long Plain First Nation

A woman was ejected from her van Monday night when the vehicle went out of control and rolled in a ditch on Yellowquill Trail South on Long Plain First Nation, RCMP report.

The 39-year-old driver, from Long Plain First Nation, was alone in the vehicle. She was transported to Health Sciences Center in Winnipeg with undetermined injuries.

She was not wearing a seatbelt, and alcohol and speed are believed to have been a factor in the collision, RCMP said.

The name of the driver will not be released.

Police continue to investigate.
