Woman facing charges after police raid grow op

A marijuana grow operation was uncovered in a North Kildonan home Wednesday.

Winnipeg police said officers carried out a search of a home in the 200-block of Eaglemere Drive where they found 742 marijuana plants and 18 pounds of dry, harvested marijuana.

The estimated street value of the marijuana is $876,000.

Police also seized extensive grow-operation equipment, valued at $15,000.

A 52-year-old woman was arrested at the home and later released on a promise to appear in court. She is facing several drug-related charges.
