A 29-year-old woman is in hospital after a broken plow truck prompted a multi-vehicle crash Thursday morning, Selkirk RCMP report.
Emergency crews were called around 7 a.m. to the crash on Highway 17 in the RM of St. Andrews, RCMP said in a release.
The wing blade of a Manitoba Infrastructure and Transportation plow truck travelling eastbound on Highway 17 broke off and was struck by a 2007 Chevrolet Equinox, which had been travelling behind the plow. The blade was then struck by a 2002 Pontiac Sunfire travelling westbound. Both vehicles ended up in the ditch.
The 29-year-old female driver of the Chevrolet Equinox was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The male drivers of the plow and Pontiac Sunfire weren't hurt.
